Review: Barry Finnimore- What I See EP.

Barry Finnimore Dublin Barry Finnimore is one of those musicians that has been circulating the Irish music scene, slowly but steadily gaining a solid reputation among avid gig-goers throughout Dublin.

‘What I see’ is a modern, creative and simply produce EP that exudes plenty of charm however it is a slightly  flawed deliverance of Finnimore’s reputable live performance.

It is evident from the outset, the influences ’90s alternative rock has had on Finnimore as a songwriter. The title opener is a strong introduction to a short but reasonably impressive collection of gritty, thought provoking song. It is enjoyable to listen to particularly as the guitar work is intricate and skilful. 

Beaten Woman  is a song of enormous potential, one that could do with being a little more polished but which still maintains a romantic charm in the lyrics. The style of this song heralds angsty acts such as Rilo Kiley and Broken…
